Child Wellness Camp

Join us for a heartwarming 2026 summer at JPH at Ferry Hill, where our long-loved camp has evolved into a child well-being–focused experience. With limited spots available, this camp is now part of JPH’s child well-being study and is thoughtfully run by experienced educators who understand the needs of growing children.

Each day, campers rotate through mindfulness-based programming that promotes emotional, social, and physical well-being—alongside swimming, nature exploration, outdoor play, and therapeutic art. We also partner with community organizations to offer unique enrichment activities that deepen learning, creativity, and connection.

Rooted in over 60 years of tradition, our unplugged, nature-based camp gives children a summer filled with joy, friendship, and meaningful growth.

Registration opens February 2, 2026 for returning families and February 9, 2026 for new families.

Weekly Schedule:
June 29–August 14, 2026
9:00 am–3:00 pm, Monday through Friday
(Week 1 adjusted for the July 4th holiday)

Middle School/High School Retreats

Our School Retreats offer middle school and high school students a chance to step away from the constant pressure of today’s world and simply breathe. At a time when teens are navigating academic stress, social expectations, uncertainty, and emotional overload, these retreats create space for slowing down, feeling supported, and reconnecting with themselves and one another.

A key reason these retreats are so impactful is the setting itself. The JPH property spans nine acres of protected land, offering expansive nature views and a true retreat like escape from the everyday school environment. Surrounded by open space, trees, and quiet pathways, students are able to unplug, ground themselves, and experience a sense of calm that is often difficult to find elsewhere.

Each retreat is thoughtfully designed to meet students where they are. Experiences may include mindfulness and breathwork, therapeutic art, movement, sound, team building activities, and guided reflection that encourage self expression, connection, and resilience. The focus is not on fixing or performing, but on being present, heard, and valued.

School Retreats can be customized to support social emotional learning, stress reduction, substance use prevention, leadership development, or community building goals. Whether for student groups or faculty teams, JPH retreats offer a grounding experience that helps young people feel steadier, more connected, and better equipped to return to school and life with greater balance and hope.

Hear From Our Community

"I first came to JPH during one of the hardest chapters of my life. I was struggling with severe anxiety and navigating deep depression. Although I had been sober from alcohol for nearly two and a half years, I was doing it alone, isolating myself, disconnecting from any real sense of community or support. I knew I needed something more, but I didn’t know where to find it. From the moment I walked into JPH, I felt a shift. The space itself is welcoming, but it’s the people who make it transformative. I was met with kindness, compassion, and a level of understanding I hadn’t experienced in a long time. Being surrounded by so many loving, caring, and like-minded individuals helped me begin to open up again. Slowly, I found myself becoming more social, more grounded, and more hopeful. JPH gave me more than a place to go, it gave me a place to belong. Reminding me that you don’t have to do this alone."

"Since finding JPH at Ferry Hill I finally feel like I can just be, It’s truly a breath of fresh air.  This place is my safe space, my home away from home and these people are my chosen family. They understand me like no one else ever has & I finally don’t feel so alone."

"JPH has given me the chance to explore so many amazing offerings- from Art Therapy classes, hand knitting (my first program), grounding, sound bowl meditation, cold plunge and sauna- I have discovered so many amazing programs in a place that encourages me to try new things and it’s helped me to develop a deep love and resource that I badly needed.

The relationships I’ve created, knowing there is always someone I can reach out to for help or an encouraging word (and often do), knowing that that person wants only the best for me- it’s amazing!"
