Hear From Our Volunteers

"A couple of years ago, I was searching for a positive place to volunteer, give back, etc. I had been finding it quite difficult find a volunteer home after moving back to the area from New York City. Thanks to social media, I saw an organization offering Yoga Nidra near my home. I went and loved the space. I went back for a Holiday Fair. JPH at Ferry Hill seemed to be a very special place. I hesitatingly started to spend time there, volunteering, and attending different offerings. Today, I am a bona-fide member of JPH’s beautiful community, in every way. Very blessed and grateful."

Hear From Our Volunteers

"I came across JPH through a post from a friend who mentioned they were looking for volunteers. At the time, I was unemployed and searching for a place where I could belong — somewhere I could be part of a community. I didn’t know much about JPH beyond what I’d seen on their website, but the day I went in for orientation, I instantly felt comfort and connection.

Every week I spent there, I felt more and more a part of the community and became empowered to keep moving forward. I realized that I wasn’t just helping JPH — I was helping myself. Through volunteering, I gained new opportunities, skills, and confidence that I’ll carry with me forever."
