SKILLS FOR A LIFETIME OF EXPLORATION
Each activity is designed to be fun, engaging, and educational, building both practical skills and lasting memories. Our activities include wilderness survival basics, guided forest ecology hikes, creative land art projects, ethical angling, archery, and group campfire sessions.
A GLIMPSE INTO A DAY OF WONDER
Our camp day is intentionally designed around movement, nature, connection, creativity, and wellbeing. Our goal is to create an environment where children can unplug from screens, spend time outdoors, build meaningful friendships, develop confidence, and learn simple tools for taking care of themselves and one another.

Our camp day is intentionally 90% outdoors. Campers spend most of their day moving, playing, exploring, creating, and connecting with others throughout the beautiful Ferry Hill property.

The only regular indoor programming is art and our daily wellbeing programming, giving children opportunities to step inside, slow down, be creative, and reset.

CLOSING CIRCLE
MORNING CIRCLE & CONNECTION
Each day begins together. Campers meet with their groups and counselors, learn what the day will bring, and have a chance to check in and settle in.

These small moments help children feel safe, known, and part of something from the very beginning of the day.
MOVEMENT, PLAY AND WATER
Our days are filled with outdoor play, movement, games, and connection. Campers enjoy field games, cooperative challenges, playground time, free play, and time with friends.

Each morning also includes water safety and swim lessons, helping children build confidence and important lifelong skills.

We focus on more than winning. We want children to experience teamwork, perseverance, confidence, belonging, and the joy of simply playing together.
NATURE & CREATIVITY
Campers spend about 90% of their day outdoors, exploring Ferry Hill, playing, imagining, and connecting with nature.

Time outside gives children space to move, wonder, breathe, and simply be children.

Art, music, crafts, and other creative activities give campers another way to express themselves, build confidence, and discover what they enjoy.
DAILY WELLBEING
Once each day, campers take part in a dedicated wellbeing experience with guest practitioners and our Social Emotional Coach.

Through age-appropriate practices such as yoga, mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, grounding, movement, and relaxation, children are introduced to simple ways to pause, notice how they feel, and care for themselves.

These are tools they can carry with them long after camp ends.
SOCIAL EMOTIONAL SUPPORT
At the heart of JPH is a deep belief that every child deserves to feel seen, supported, included, and loved.

Our counselors build relationships with campers throughout the day, creating a warm and caring camp community.

Our Purple Team provides dedicated social emotional support, helping children navigate big feelings, transitions, challenges, and moments when they need a little extra care.

We meet children where they are and give them space to participate at their own pace, ask for help, try again, and grow in confidence.
AFTERNOONS TOGETHER
After lunch, campers come together for whole camp or mixed group activities, free swim, games, creative activities, and camper choice.

Afternoons offer a natural balance of movement, friendship, play, and downtime.
WEEKLY THEMES
Every week brings a new theme, special guests, and opportunities to explore wellness, nature, creativity, science, movement, and community.

Children are invited to discover something new, try something different, and experience wellbeing in many different ways.
CLOSING CIRCLE
At the end of each day, we come back together for music, song, reflection, and connection.

Each day ends a little differently, but always with the same intention: to help children leave feeling connected, cared for, and proud to have been part of our camp community.

OUR UNPLUGGED WELLBEING FOCUS
At JPH, unplugging is more than putting away screens.

It is about creating space for children to be:

Present. Connected. Active. Creative. Curious.

MORE THAN A SUMMER CAMP
Camp is intentionally designed to be more than a place where children spend their summer days. We want campers to leave with more than memories.

We want them to leave with new friendships, greater confidence, a stronger connection to nature, positive experiences with movement, creative outlets for self-expression, greater independence, teamwork and communication skills, strategies for managing emotions and stress, a deeper sense of belonging, and an understanding that wellbeing can be part of everyday life.

We intentionally create a camp environment that feels less like a program children have to keep up with and more like a family system of support and a place where every child belongs; every child is encouraged, and every child has space to be themselves.

At JPH, we believe that wellbeing starts with connection: connection to ourselves, to one another, to our community, and to the natural world around us.
